Wildlife everywhere, beautiful view of the lake, smack dab in the middle of Yellowstone. Friendly and extremely helpful staff.
Absolutely loved it.
Definitely didn't expect it to be as majestic as it was. The pictures don't do it justice on just how big this geologic feature actually is. I plan on coming back!
Our campsite was pretty decent, although the shade they say is just one shaded overhang for the picnic table on the site. Bathrooms were about average in cleanliness, but the view is breathtaking.
Just stayed here overnight in June 2020. Tent campsite. Staff is really nice, amenities galore. Shower was great, not a pay shower. They have a sandwich and coffee shop, outdoor picnic area to eat what you order. Ping pong tables, community fire pit and it’s right near the inlet from the ocean. If I ever come through here again I will definitely be staying here.
Tent camping for one night, we got a site way in the back away from everyone and it was the best. They give our ample firewood for a $5 bundle. The bathrooms are good. If you want the back sites make sure your car isn’t too low on the ground! Totally worth the stay
Good place to sleep, close to tons of stuff. We passed through, it was one of the cheaper options. If this was renovated 3 years ago then they used 15 year old materials. Our room didn’t look renovated but it was still perfect for what we needed. Bed was really comfy. Shower was good, although for a tall 6’2 man I had to bend over a good bit to wash my hair.
It’s a nice area and great for a quick stay over as you’re passing through. Trains! I feel like throughout the day and night one passed by at least every hour, and always honks their loud horn because of the road leading into the campground. Showers had barely any water pressure but it was still manageable.
Very nice facility. Stayed overnight, bathrooms were cleaned than some national park campgrounds I’ve stayed at, and it was very reasonably priced!
