I spent an entire afternoon exploring the grounds here recently. You are prohibited from going inside the buildings (despite the fact that they are, in many cases, standing wide open), but you can walk/drive around freely. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth checking out. The buildings are really beautiful/spooky.
