Nice place to have dinner ! Friendly staff, nice decor, I wish I'd been here long enough to eat here again because there were several great things on the menu. I had roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce and the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had :) I think casual dressy would fit this place, prices not bad.
Had a great tour guide named Andy!! So glad we got him - we heard other bored sounding tour guides on the climb down. Andy was hilarious drawing our large group in with jokes but also very informative and interested while giving us info on the caverns. Personally it's a little too commercial with the colored lights under rocks and at the falls plus I noticed where a lot of stalactites/mites had been sawed off but the overall experience was fun (mainly bc of Andy) and a nice childhood flashback
Stopped here on the way to Lookout Mtn and Chattanooga - what a great decision! Beautiful rock formation and walking/hiking, no water in the waterfall areas due to lack of rain but the awesome silence (except for birds) and beautiful woods made up for it
$5 each to come in, have quarters for parking, 15 minutes per quarter. Beautiful grounds, views and rocks, little museum could have more I think but as a natural attraction it's great. The views!
Almost missed it! No parking and off Beach Blvd. We parked at a business behind it and walked over. It's got a nice lawn and a neat little seating area built up around a big oak nearby, nice place to reflect. The memorial is simple - the names make it meaningful.
Beautiful home and lots of things to see on the grounds, cemetery, library, store, museum. The museum seems to highlight Hurricane Katrina damage to the house and area but does feature info on Beavoir and the Jeffersons. Tour guide for the house was not friendly or interesting, you can see a few rooms inside but most you have to look at from the porch looking into the windows! Make sure you go into the little house where Davis lived when he wrote his memoirs - there are some very informative videos playing
Right on Beach Blvd in Biloxi, graves dating back to the 1800's, a few family plots, several well known people interred here including George Ohr (mad potter of Biloxi ) and Pleasant Reed, some confederate graves. A lot of different styles of stones and statues, well maintained - even found one plot with our family name - unfortunately there is no directory
family name!
A little detour off Beach Blvd right now due to construction at the campus entrance- beautiful tree, my bestie and I drove over from the Beau for a look and met two ladies from Chicago who have also been friends for years. So great to meet them and we were able to take pics of each other since none of us are good at selfies!
