This visitor center was first rate as far as they go. Restrooms, information, a gift shop, and an exhibition about wildlife in the area. I wish we could have had more time to look at all the information in the center.

A must see in the smoky mountains! A gorgeous drive and excellent views. Close to Clingman's Dome - which we found out is closed in the winter. We found what we think was a fire access road on the far end of the lookout and had a nice walk down there instead.

The rail trail is a lovely walk through pastures and old trees with plenty of cows and horses on either side. It was the perfect afternoon activity for us on our road trip. Definitely recommend!
