We enjoyed stopping here on our October 2018 road trip. There is a visitor center, paths up to caves, benches and picnic tables. The markings had mostly faded on the cave walls, but you could still make out where some had been before fading. The park had posted signs of what was originally on the cave wall. They allow dogs as long as they are on leashes. We did see a rattlesnake crossing one of the paths up to the cave. So we had to watch that our dog stayed right next to us on the path.
Nice place to stop for the night. It had full hookups for our RV. Close to city. We would stop here again if we are ever traveling through Butte again.
We finally had our navigation send us to the correct address. It was a very nice museum. It had indoor and outdoor things to look at and lots of free information books. We bought lots of cute stuff at the gift shop.
We parked our RV here for the night and rented a full hook up. They had 4 full hookup sites which were located in the middle of a parking lot. But if we had rented a non hook up site they had a little loop off the side that were much nicer camp sites with fire pits. They had water and electricity but not a sewer hookup. They have a hot springs on site that is very nice. They have a common kitchen you can use and restrooms to change for the hot springs. They also have one teepee, and some hotel rooms.
Stopped here on the way to the Hot Springs. This is the only little store/cafe/gas station near where we are staying. We ordered a cheese burger and French dip. Both were very good. Nice people running the place too.
Stayed two nights. Very clean and in good repair. Nice hosts, and quiet at night except for music during the ice skating at night.
Nice friendly atmosphere. Good food, loved the salad and the wine!
We stopped here in the morning and there were very few people. The volunteers were just setting up the scopes for us to see the butterflies better. We saw butterflies flying around in the trees and thousands were hanging from the trees. It was much easier seeing them through the scopes. From a distance they look like leaves on the trees. There was a little trailer at the front which had some information and things to buy. It was free to walk through and is open 24 hours. Parking was along the street. Later in the day it was much busier and much more crowded.
We went here for breakfast and it was very cute inside. There wasn’t a wait for a table and the hostess and waiter was very nice. I had French toast that was made with cinnamon bread which was good. It would be a great place to bring kids. They had an outside eating area in the back that you could bring your dog.
