It started when i attempted to call and make a reservation and no one answered so i called the corporate scheduling line for red roof inn, and we booked 2 adjoining rooms .We arrived at the red roof inn in Wichita falls , tx and were given a room that the door was not working and the key wouldn't unlock it . The front desk receptionist , Maria , proceeded to put her jacket on and try the door herself . After it didn't work for her she proceeded to drop a few F* bombs in front of my 2 kids (2&6) and we walked to the lobby to find out if there were Any more adjoining rooms. She found 2 more adjacent rooms , and we attempted to walk in and one had a comforter that had holes in it and the other room reeked of cigarette smoke, I couldn't breathe so i walked out. Maria dropped another f bomb and changed us to non adjoining rooms due to having no adjoining rooms left. These rooms appeared passable until about 10 pm when an alarm / phone started going off . Since the phones were down I walked to the front desk and informed them .Mariqa tols me the room was out of comission and we walked back and tried to open the door it was also dead and wouldn't open . She basically told me it was out of her hands and there was nothing she could do . The night shift guy made another unsuccessful attempt to open the door and informed me it was dead and that they could try maintenance but it was likely too late . Maria looked displeased and copped an attitude when I told her I wanted a refund or rebate because this entire stay has been ridiculous . She called her manager (nick) and the overnight guy helped her refund my stay for one of my two rooms. Worst hotel night stay EVER .
