If you love ants you will love this park. They invaded our motorhome the first night we were there. We asked the park about spraying and they said that’s your problem. We fought the ants for the three days we were there and are still fighting them after we left. So frustrating.
This is such a beautiful peaceful place to stay. The waterfalls, creek, and pond and green lush trees does make it feel like an oasis in the desert. I did the Ladybug hunt they offer for my granddaughters and sent them pictures and they loved it. I had fun doing it too.
Nice campground convenient to town and I40. Friendly folks!
So glad we stayed an extra day in Amarillo to see this. They are only open Thursday through Saturday so plan ahead. Took me back to my childhood days as I viewed a pop up the same age as one I camped in as a kid. A wooden boat and an El Camino the same era as my big brother owned. A trailer similar to the one we use to take our son’s camping in 40+ years ago. Besides the Rv’s they have ice chests, ice cream makers all things that brought back memories. My husband also delighted in the dirt bikes and motorcycle. Cool place to stop.
We love KOA’s and if there is a choice we generally choose a KOA over other campgrounds and that is why we choose this one. We are VIP members so have been to lots of KOA’s. This was our least favorite so far. The campsites where so close together our neighbor hit our rv while putting out his awning. No damage to us but frustration for him as he had to grill outside without an awning. Our bedroom slide barely missed our neighbor’s slide on the other side. We booked two nights and asked if we could extend one and they told us they don’t extend even though there was less than a dozen RV’s in the park the whole time we were there. They did us a favor by not extending as we found a much nice place to stay just down the road.
Beautiful sites with trees. Space between your neighbor. The pool was pristine. We moved here after two nights at another campsite close by. What an amazing difference. Glad we moved! Also less expensive than the crummy campground we stayed at first.
Amazing place take exit 87 heading west. It is on the other side of the road then where it is shown. Beautiful metal work. Multiple signs with dates that relate to wars and violence.
