So beautiful and lots of place to walk around and checkout the sites. Totally worth the 30 dollars to get in and the drive time.
You have to be dropped off at the airport like you're catching a plane. Otherwise super easy to get in and out of with a Huge RV which we were trying to figure out the easiest path of resistance. Staff were courtesy and helpful.
So it isn't the best maintained RV Park in the world but there are for sure plus's..if you have a completely contained unit or get a site that is full hook-up it is a great location for everything in the Badlands and the drive to Mt Rushmore isn't bad at all the speed limit the majority of the way is 80 mph so it doesn't take long to get anywhere They have a fenced in dog park which does seem to be maintained very well at least while we stayed it was. It is also located like 3 blocks from Wall Drug Store which if you have never been go have breakfast or lunch and walk around it is a pretty impressive business they have built in a little town that otherwise might have turned into a ghost town. All the little shops on the street are fun to walk through lots of black hills gold if you love it this is a place to check out. Everyone is super friendly.
I would for sure stay here again. The sites are well maintained and the little town is great. There isn't a ton to do of course but they have a huge bike trail that goes all around and through the town and it is supposed to be getting connected to an even bigger bike path in the area. The staff was great, super friendly and helpful.
