Dead Man's Curve Facts:
Contrary to common belief, Jan Berry's near-fatal car crash was not at Dead Man's Curve but it was close. He was on his way to a business meeting when he turned south onto a residential street- Whittier Ave off of Sunset Blvd. This is 2.5 miles east of Dead Man's Curve on Sunset Blvd. which is located near Drake Stadium on the UCLA campus. I've driven the length of Sunset many times and in that area, speeds can increase in that area because there are fewer traffic lights. Since it's reconstruction, DMC isn't that much of challenge but everyone speeds there. Mulholland Drive is much deadlier, especially at night.
