We stopped here on our way out west and we’re pleasantly surprised at the beautiful setting of this campground. It is set on the shores of a small lake. The campground was very well maintained and the staff are super friendly and helpful. There are many seasonal camper but you do not feel out of place because the park is very big. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This was a perfect place to stop for an overnight stay on our way out west. 39 amp service and full hookups that you can’t beat for the price. There is no amenities here but that was fine. The bathroom by the RV sites I would consider unusable and no light when we were there. This place is located very close to the highway so there is quite a bit of noise but that did not bother us.

We decided to camp here based on the proximity to our trip to Teton National Park. When I called the park in January they took my reservation request with just a name. There was no deposit required at that time. A few weeks before our trip I received a call to verify that we would be coming as reserved which I confirmed. When we got to the park there was no record of our reservation. The park was crowded but I am not sure if it was the pandemic or the high gas prices, there were a few sites still available thankfully. This park is very old and the water and electric were also old. The sites were so close that I was not comfortable starting a fire in the pit provided. The hot spring pools were very nice...thankfully we both bought water shoes before we got there because the algae was plentiful. The showers and toilets were very poor and you had to pay for the showers. We found that most of the people that stay here were locals( within a couple of hours) from the area. The midnight train was VERY loud but we actually appreciate the train noise. We were glad we stayed here to be able to go into the pools but would not likely do this again.

This was one of the nicest KOA campgrounds we have stayed at so far. The camp hosts were fantastic and were very helpful in our checkin and stay. Bathrooms were very clean and were cleaned several times per day. Showers were fine. There was some road noise from Rt. 44 which was right down the hill but this was not a reason to lower my rating. The pancake breakfast special was delicious, and if you like biscuits and gravy they have done a great job with those as well. There are plenty activities in the campground for kids as well.

The only positive I have to give on this campground was the host was very pleasant for the 2 minutes that we spoke. While I realize that being in Estes Park, CO comes with an uncharge for the tourist attractions, you really should receive a reciprocal experience. This was a water and electric only site with a riverfront view. There does not seem to be much care for the property. The roads are in terrible condition with several pot holes. They have cable lines at the sites but do not provide cable any longer and the internet is terrible. The playground is unkept and there are no real amenities at all. There are very limited restrooms available, the lower section has one mens and one women's room and a long walk up a hill to the showers. There is NO parking available at the showers and laundry either. After deciding to go up to take a shower I walk in to find 3 showers but there is no separation in the showers other than a plastic curtain in a grouping of three shower heads! On top of that the water pressure was pretty much non existent and there was no hot water...only luke warm. The park was almost full and there was a huge beerfest taking place just a couple of miles away and the office closed at 5 pm, I do not understand when an RV park is full of guests why you would not want to be open later. I was happy to pack up and leave

We had a site that was located in the middle of a circle of sites but you still were private. Very close to the bath and shower which are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was super nice and friendly. The indoor pool was empty and apparently it was supposed to have been repaired earlier. The roads in the park are a bit rough and dusty. There is not really much to the town and we did not go anywhere except for the grocery store and gas station. Overall a nice place without the usual KOA bells and whistles.

We felt very special when we pulled into this campground and we’re taken to our site which overlooked the lake. It was a beautiful spot to spend the night. The park had sim workers there when we arrived but the camp host treated us like we were the only guest there event though the park had many sites taken. The facilities were adequate for our needs. They did not sell ice but not a big deal. We would certainly stay here again.

This monument is spectacular as is the visitors center complex. The amount of work and dedication that has gone into this sculpture over the past years is impressive. The sad thing is that I will not be able to see the finished product in my lifetime. The historical artifacts and pictures throughout the visitors center is impressive. Do not miss the short video in the theater that gives you the history of how the sculpture came to be and the ongoing efforts to complete the project. We really enjoyed the beauty of this place and would highly recommend stopping for several hours.

Fantastic drive through beautiful scenery, back and forth winding roads, scenic stops along the way, and tight one vehicle tunnels. This is well worth the trip. We traveled this road, needles highway and Crazy Horse Memorial in the same day and enjoyed it all immensely.
