Peaceful. I wasn't there around migration time but still saw lots of birds.

Gravel road is rough! 25 miles of thick gravel with twists and turns - not sure how campers and boats get back there but worth it. Bring your own water - there is potable water but so heavily treated, it tasted like chemicals.
