according to the moosehead trailriders map (they erected the monument) this location is about 95 miles from the actual location. It's northeast of Greenville, ME near Horseshoe pond.
mapped and addressed incorrectly. it's actually at the intersection of Virginia St East and Truslow St.
unless you have reserved a tour in advance, they will not permit you to even look at the grounds through the gift shop window. Disappointing way to preserve history. but maybe in the winter with the leaves off the trees, you might be able to catch a glimpse.
you are actually looking for evans city cemetery. turn off of main st at the railroad tracks onto Pioneer Rd/Franklin Rd and it will be on your left. just past the railroad tracks on main street is the new living dead museum/gift shop.
this monument and the library are actually at the intersection of Maple ave, Main st, and Lundale dr. Across the street, the concrete slab and greasey remains of a lift cylinder are all that's left of the gas station.
