Unfortunately this is no longer here, but cool to note the sight where it once stood.

What a great stop! This town is still active and is home to a collection of extrinsic creatives. Be sure to drive up the hill to see the murals and ask about the legend of the stone house at the general store.

I scheduled this is as a quick stop before heading home and I wish I'd had a few days to spend hearing everyone's stories.

Grafton is accessed down a dirt road so high clearance is recommended. Some of the buildings are on private property, but a local fund preserves some for public access. Absolutely worth a stop if you're coming for Zion or just passing through. It is a gorgeous piece of history.

The drive and views you always see are behind The View Hotel run by the Navajo Nation. It is $20 for two days of access. The drive requires a permit and they limit the number of cars allowed at one time. Be sure to get their early if you're there during high season! You'll have two hours to complete the drive which is just enough to take pictures of all the sites. Be respectful and stay on marked drives. People still live in the valley.

Astounding views whether you're there for the movie or not. Please be respectful of the land and other drivers. You are on native land and some will rightfully get frustrated if you get in the way of drivers.

Locals set up stands selling hand-made jewelry; be sure and stop to talk to them. Everyone has a story to share!

Fantastic boondocking spot! There is a gate off the highway you'll need to open. Drive a ways down the dirt road and you'll see a sign for Marble Canyon. It dead-ends about 2 miles in. Off the road there are plenty of pull outs for overnight parking. There are zero facilities but you'll have some of the best views of any campsite in the US. Bring your tri-pod for those Milky Way photos!

Recommended 4x4 but high clearance is a must. Do not attempt in rain.

This is an informal BLM campground along Marble Canyon. You have to open a gate along the road to get in and drive about 2 miles of loose dirt and rocky road. 4x4 recommended and high clearance is a must.

There are pull out spots along the road for parking. Zero facilities; please practice leave no trace.

These are some of the most mind-blowing views you could ask for. You're surrounded by the Vermilion Cliffs and on the edge of a canyon. Bring your tri-pod for those long exposure shots of the night sky as well.

Serene lake with astounding mountain views. Because it's volcanic, there is no life in this lake resulting in a surreal view of the depth. Perfect for kayaking or canoeing. Just beware the mosquitos on shore.
