FAIR WARNING TO ALL!!!! I travel quite often for work and vacations, and have never been treated so badly! And have never walked through the door!!!!
So I accidentally booked a room on Friday Dec 27th 2019 (through EXPEDIA) with intent to reserve a room for that weekend…. However I inadvertently had two windows open in explorer and by accident confirmed the window with the wrong dates (Expedia’s auto recommended dates). IMMEDIATELY within 5 mins, I caught the mistake and called the Hotel directly... I tried to work directly with the hotel and change the date to my preferred date for the weekend, but they were booked and had no availability for me on these days... They (hotel’s desk agent who sounded just like the owner ANDY PATEL) indicated it would not be a problem to refund the charges, But I had to contact EXPEDIA to do this....
As soon as I hang up, I'm on the phone with Expedia... While on hold with Expedia they call the hotel (they tell me they have to call and get authorization from this Hotel). I get told that no one presently at the hotel can authorize this and they need to speak with the manager. Three days later I get an email from Expedia, that this hotel and ANDY PATEL from "HILLSIDE INN AT KILLINGTON" does not wish to release a refund…. WELL…. Now I have been on the phone for hours trying to resolve this with EXPEDIA and “ANDY PATEL” the indicated owner of this hotel (at least that’s what I’m told), and have gotten nowhere!!!!
This is nothing less than pure theft !!!! Expedia claims they have no way to issue a refund without the approval of the hotel!
Well after reading all the TERRIBLE reviews for this place, I am not actually surprised that I have been scammed!! If you want to be treated this way, By all means book this hotel! If you would like to stay with more reputable people, than you should book (literally) anywhere but here…. I think my next call will be with the Authorities, and see where that takes me!!!!
