Very nice place to stop and visit. I collected several samples of the holy dirt for family members. It was an amazing, unexpected find. A definite stop if you connect with churches.

We definitely enjoyed this site. It was very hot and would have spent more time if it was cooler. There was some obvious vandalism, which was sad, but it didn't take away from the experience. Very cool petroglyphs, but often the petroglyphs were few the higher up you got! Most were found lower on the trails.

Was an interesting stop if you get into the UFo stuff. Mostly documents and second source info.

We very much enjoyed this site. It was a somewhat challenge to climb, for an older adult, but doable and definitely worth it. Plan for a couple hours and bring water in the hot months. Awesome place to visit if petroglyphs interest you.

It is what it says, white sands! It was a cool place to visit for a few hours. I was not very successful sledding down the hills. I barely made it back up for another try. I think the elevation definitely effected my physical ability to continue (I'm 55 and from the costal plains of Texas!). I absolutely loved making sand Angels and enjoyed he feel of the sand on my feet. Not hot believe it or not, just warm. The sand was the finest I have ever experienced. Definitely worth the visit. The visitor center's gift shop sells sleds ( for about $14-$16 depending on size/thickness) and used sleds too, but no used were available. They buy back the sleds for $5 but your better off to try to buy and sell to to other visitors, which is what most folks were doing. Is is financially beneficial to both buyer and seller.

The path down was exhausting for me at 55 and I walk 2-3 miles a day. They do offer an escalator down for those who prefer. I took it on the way up. The caverns were impressive, but not as impressive as inner space caverns and others I have visited in Texas. Large gift shop and moderately priced eatery on site with decent food. Plan for several hours to visit.

Nice place to visit. Very small visitor center, but the ranger was very knowledgable and friendly. Nice exhibits in visitor center. I thought it was worth the stop. Allow for an hour to hour and a half visit.

Enjoyed visiting here. The staff at the visitor center was very helpful and knowledgeable. The mini museum at the visitor center was interesting. We took the two shortest trails, as time was limited, and enjoyed the sights.
