A little further south, in Empire, there is a Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. It's definitely fun, but bring water!! It's about a 3.5 mile trek to the beach up and down dunes, but it is honestly so much fun. The day my friends and I went it was incredibly windy, which made things a little tricky (not to mention we ate a bunch of sand) but the views are breathtaking and it's such a remarkable experience. Highly recommend trying it at least once. But like I said, be prepared physically and bring water!

SO. MUCH. FUN! I seriously applaud their commitment to theme; even the parking spaces are painted with swords and skulls! There are two courses, one a little more difficult, but both super fun and both well maintained and clean. Each hole has facts about real life pirates! The course is so beautiful, a lot of waterfalls, small bridges, even two little caves! The staff is also soooo freaking nice. Overall a really amazing putt-putt experience. I've been there twice and I would go again in a heartbeat!!

My friends and I hit up this campsite last weekend. They have a really great website and almost every question you have is answered on there. Very family-friendly, not great for loud 20-year-olds, but it's nice. The bathrooms weren't bad. I didn't shower there, but one of my friends said the water pressure was a bit unimpressive but it was warm, and that was at about 8:30 at night. About a half hour from Frankfurt, which has a cool beach, lots of benches and even swings right by the water, volleyball nets, and two concrete piers that curve towards each other. About an hour from Traverse City. Overall had a great experience there! A little expensive for my taste, but I would go again with a big group :)
