The mailbox is there as of May 2023! We didn’t stop, but it was visibly there, right where our maps app said it would be.
Had a great time at Berlin Ichthyosaur! We got there right before the fossil tour on Sunday. The drive out is beautiful, and the park guide was super friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Bring some extra cash for souvenirs from the fossil house.
The ghost town is a fun trail and easy to walk, with lots of signs to show you what the buildings were. We set out from Cold Springs, and it was approximately a 50 minute journey. Great for a day trip!
We had a wonderful stay at Kaleidoscope Inn. Our hostess was thoughtful, accommodating and friendly, and the Inn was beautiful. Me and my partner stayed in the Cottage room, which is outside in the garden area. We brought our dog, who had a great time romping around and running circles in the grass. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Can’t recommend enough
Excellent little motel on Route 66! It's no longer run by the same couple that renovated it earlier, and now has a new owner. He was very helpful and had some good tips for the road. Room was great! Big, clean, and with free wi-fi! Would definitely stop here again.
(Also, say hi to Sam, their cute boxer pup. She's a little shy at first, but opens up quick)
