Beautiful view from this scenic stop. It’s a relatively steep walk up the hillside to reach the pony statues. Loose rocks and gravel on the path mean younger children will need help, but the life-sized statues make it a worthwhile trek. It’s typically a windy spot, so secure items before exiting your vehicle.
Nice park to stretch the legs and let the kids run around. It’s a short walk from the parking lot to the dam. Placards along the trail detail the history of the area. Restrooms and a small playground with monkey bars, a merry-go-round, swings (1 baby, 1 big-kid), and climbing structures are along the way.
