Most of this can be seen from the freeway. We drove in and they were not quite as impressive or worth the stop.
We like finding interesting things and stories on our road trips and this seemed like a great spot to check out! It was disappointing how people have pulled parts of the mural off the wall! It didn't look as good as the pictures and I don't think we would have stopped if we'd known it wasn't taken care of and had holes and gaps where people have vandalized.
GOING TO THE SUN ROAD IS A MUST SEE! Every corner there is more amazing beauty to see. MUST DO!
Beautiful falls and not a hard hike for kids. My 8, 6, and 4 year old daughters did great on this hike. We got an early start which really helped eliminate lots of crowds.
Glacier is beautiful. We loved this campground on the west side and especially loved having our bikes to bike over to Lake McDonald in the evening. $22/night and worth every penny. Bathrooms were clean and had flushable toilets.
AMAZING! Worth the stop and highly recommend. Milepost 21 is accurate. This led us right to the parking lot. Hike is relatively easy. It's about half a mile to the bridge.
Wow! What a beautiful spot! Loved this park and the lake! So pretty! Especially loved the little water hole for kids to play in. The museum was informative and fun too. Great rangers and great price at $5 for a day of play and hiking.
Eh... not our favorite campsite of the trip. It was loud and you could hear trains going by early in the morning. It didn't feel off the beaten path at all so it didn't even feel like camping. The bathrooms were ok but were not cleaned often. They don't allow campfires either so overall it wasn't our most favorite and we wouldn't stay there again.
Great park. Very clean. Loved all the large trees. Right next to water. A great stop!
This was a great stop! Super impressed with our tour guide and all the information we learned. My kids loved stopping in and learning and also loved mining for gold at the end! It was super hard to find gold but they put fun rocks in there too that my kids really enjoyed "mining" for. The gift shop was fun too. Staff very friendly.
