Even during spring break this park wasn't to crowded! The $6 to get into the park is cheaper than any other parking in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, plus you get the bonus of picnic areas and playgrounds!

Great place for a picnic or a nature walk. Several animals are there for rehab. The staff is very friendly and will answer any wildlife questions. Tours are available at scheduled days.

We stayed for one night last minute when our original site was overbooked and they were very accommodating. The site was beautiful and well maintained. Everyone was friendly. Nice facilities, game area, tiki with big screen tv, pool, laundry, hot showers, kayak rentals, and even a gift shop with a section to travel necessities.

It's about $20 to get in. They have a narrated tram ride (about $24) and several walking and biking paths, you can also rent bikes there. We didn't have to go far to see alligators, birds and lots of native plants.

My daughter and I stopped on our way to the Keys. They have plenty of animals to see and touch! Very inexpensive and interesting!
