We stayed last weekend for 3 nights in our trailer just to get out of town for a bit. Our trailer is still winterized so we needed somewhere with bathrooms and this place seemed like a good bet. We stayed in one of the newly constructed back in only sites on a cement pad right next to the river. The site itself was really nice, very level, and it was set up well with all the hookups. It was surrounded by a big grassy area. There were makeshift pet cleanup stations all over the grassy areas with several signs throughout the park reminding people to clean up after their pets and keep them on a leash. I didn’t see any pet waste anywhere which was nice. This is about where the positives end. Probably 90% of the park lives there full time. Several of the trailers were run down with junk laying everywhere in their sites. This didn’t bother us too much as those sites are mostly grouped together away from the short term sites by the river. The real issue was the facilities at the park. They have a bathhouse with a men’s and women’s restroom, each equipped with 1 small shower stall and 1 toilet. The bathrooms were dirty and very busy. We had to wait in line for people to finish showering or using the restroom almost every time we went. The bathroom facilities simply aren’t big enough for a park this size. If you’re able to rely on your own toilet and shower, this won’t be a problem for you. There were coin operated washers and dryers on site as well. Overall, it was ok. The site we stayed in was nice, but we would not stay there again due to the cost. For 3 nights in the site we stayed in with 1 dog, it was $216. It costs $5 extra per night if you have a pet. They also have fees for paying with a card. The cost just seemed a bit steep for what they offer as far as facilities on site.

We pulled in after dark and the after hours check in process was easy. Park was very clean and our site was easy to find. The bathrooms and showers were clean with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Lots of trash cans available throughout the park. The sites are pretty close together and the sewer hook up is positioned far from the water and power hookups so we had to be strategic in how we parked to ensure all of our hoses/cords were long enough to reach where they needed to go. It appeared that most of the other sites had hookups positioned in the same way. There was a bit of noise from the highway, but that is to be expected. The free wifi is pretty limited, but you can purchase unlimited if you need it.

This is a nice campground under the redwoods. The surroundings are beautiful and it is close to a few awesome beaches. It was also easy to get to from the highway. However, this meant there was quite a bit of noise from the highway. The bathrooms were clean and the WiFi worked well, though we did not try to download or stream using the WiFi. We were in site 94 with a 32 foot rig and the way it is positioned, it was difficult to back into. It was also sloped in such a way that it was useless for us to hook up to the sewer because no matter how you set it up, it was impossible to actually get the contents to do anything except sit in the hose. The sites are very close together and many of them were muddy even though it did not rain during our visit.

We stayed for 3 nights in October while visiting the western parts of Olympic national park. The location was beautiful, decently close to many points of interest on the Olympic peninsula, and we had beautiful views of the ocean from our campsite. The beach is very close, but you should expect to climb over a lot of driftwood to access the beach. There is a fire ring, a trash can with a lid, and a picnic table at each site. Each site is clearly numbered and there is a short fence separating sites. We stayed in site 6 and it was pretty level. All of the hookups worked perfectly. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The coin operated laundry was very reasonably priced ($2.25-3.50 for wash and $1.25 for 45 mins on the dryer). The bathrooms were clean, but the single shower stall in the women’s bathroom didn’t drain well. The free wifi only works right behind the front office and is very slow. There was a little coffee shop on site, but it was closed the whole time we were there. Overall, would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in site 30 with full hookups. The site was clean and we had views of the lake right across the road. Bathrooms were very clean. Only complaint was there is just 1 shower stall in the bathrooms so if you are planning on using it, just beware there may be a wait.

We stayed here on our way through Newport. The after hours check in was easy. Finding the correct shower and laundry facility was a little confusing. But once we found it, everything was clean. There was plenty of hot water for a shower and the laundry room had several washers and dryers. Walking distance to the Aquarium and great views of the marina and bridge.

Our RV popped a tire a mile or so from the Memaloose westbound rest area on a Saturday evening. We were parked at the rest stop, unable to get help with our tire that night and needed somewhere to stay. We walked down to the camp site to inquire about an open site and a camp host set us up in an “emergency site” with full hook ups for 2 nights while we waited for someone to come help with our tire on Monday. The showers, bathrooms, and camp sites were very clean. All the facilities were fully functional. Most sites seemed to have shade from the large trees. There was a little noise from the highway as the park is right next to the road, but that didn’t bother us. There is no access to the river at this state park as it is fenced off due to the railroad tracks. Overall, a great experience and 10/10 service from the very helpful park staff when we were in a stressful situation and needed last minute accommodations.

We stayed for 2 nights while we were visiting the northern parts of Olympic National Park. The views from our site were so beautiful. There were lots of cute hiking trails to scenic lookouts around the park. Deer come down from the woods every evening and graze the grassy areas.
The bathrooms were nice and clean. There is only 2 shower stalls in the RV section and it costs 25 cents for 2 minutes, but the water pressure was awesome and the water got hot quickly.
The only cons are that the gates close at 10pm and there are several signs prohibiting alcohol within the park.

Beautiful area. Just be aware it costs to park. After tax it cost just over $8 to park for 1 hour in the parking lot at the falls.

Beautiful park not far from Seattle. Ride pooling on the beach was so fun with lots of beautiful photo opportunities. Trails were a little muddy, but that’s to be expected.
