Creepy? Yep. But more because I worried what squatters were hiding around every turn. The fence to the big building has many holes so you can get close- illegally. There are slate tiles falling from the roof so it’s not safe. Interesting but plan to walk a bit from the parking and around the fenced perimeter.

Beautiful building, tough to navigate the narrow medical campus streets in an RV. Definitely cannot sneak closer, fence was well maintained but creepy vibe and worth a look.

Great looking jail- OLD! The tour was a video with poor sound quality and then a guided tour by a young boy of about 10. He was knowledgeable but I had trouble hearing him, especially through the mask (darn covid). The cells and gallows were super cool, the handprint.... meh. They’re saying they cant get rid of it but then say no photos to preserve it. I think they just want to preserve the $5 photos of it in the gift shop. Despite all this, if you love history it’s worth it. Parking not rv friendly.

Aug 2020 we were there. They are open and operating. This was such a pleasant surprise- there were so many more animals than I expected and the wagon ride was absolutely worth the small fee. You can buy cups of feed for $1 but they give you a bucket for the wagon ride. You can actually go into done if the animal pens and it was a joy to play with the goats and baby bunnies. My favorite was the Scottish Highland Cow.
