We were terribly disappointed this year. We have been coming to this condo for years. This year they told us that the condos were under "renovation" and the pool was not available. They also told us there would be no discounts. We decided to go anyway. When we got there we were shocked. They did not tell us that there was extensive refacing of the exterior of the building on the side facing the beech. From 7:45 AM to 6:45 PM we were assaulted with the noise of power tools: hammers, drills, mason saws, grinders. There were 6 mechanical lifts on the exterior which, every time they lowered, to move workers to another floor, emitted loud "back up alarms". You know, the "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" you hear when construction equipment backs up. We went to the management angry at how we had been deceived, and they didn't care. They said: we told you that there was renovation, and we are not giving discounts. As if all we cared about was the money, not the disruption of our vacation and how the deceived us. We won't be going back.

fun and fascinating. I love getting off the interstates and really seeing the country up close. Rolling up hill was a weird sensation, but the drive to get there was the best part.

We were going to do the Monogahela, but our hotel suggested the Duquesne instead. For a visitor to Pittsburgh, the view was spectacular. We found a restaurant/bar two doors over and went in for a drink. This way we could sit inside and enjoy the view. If we go back to Pittsburgh, we will definitely take the trip after sundown to see the city lights. The restaurant was called Coal Hill Steakhouse.

The visitor's center is perfect. It is small but does an amazing job laying out the time line of the events of the day. It honors the sacrifice and lives of the crew and passengers of flight 93. The memorial site is minimal, peaceful and reverent, honoring the enormity of the loss. We were glad to see so many families bringing their children to remember.

This was our first cave experience and I was a little worried about claustrophobia. We took the winter tour and I didn't have any issues with it. There are a couple of places that are a little tight, but the guides keep you moving through. There is so much to take in that you don't have time to get worried. The formations are beautiful and I would definitely recommend it.
