This site is not open on Mondays, but you can still walk back to the fort. The fort is a reproduction of a small, hastily assembled fort that was used in one 45 minute skirmish in June, 1832.
This is a unique destination with a storyteller owner. We opted for the 'light' version but I'd be freaked on a dark tour!
Stopped here purely because my stepdaughter is a supernatural fan. We did not see the church. It is a small cemetery.
This was very beautiful and rides are done every half hour. You can really feel the speed of the carousel. Plus there's a neat little museum attached to it.
Great spot for a picnic!
I'm Czech so we had to stop - the egg is beautiful and it rotates. It seems the town is starting some other projects nearby so hopefully they add more!
We liked this spot for a quiet picnic lunch. No table though. Story of the robbery on the board.
I did not expect this to be as huge if a site as it is. We only stretched out legs for half an hour, sad to miss the many thing to see.
This free ferry operates from 7 am to 10 pm daily! It holds about 12 cars and can ferry RVs. The ride across is ten minutes or less. Quite a fun addition to a drive!
