I am not really sure where to start. I called on Friday to reserve for Saturday and Sunday. I asked about the "Happy Hour" deal. I was told there were snacks and drinks. We got checked into our room and for some reason they gave us a handicapped room (there was mold in the corners of the shower). I asked about the "Happy Hour" deal and was told it was only Monday - Thursday (why didn't they tell me that on the phone). We came down to have breakfast around 7:30. They were just about out of everything. When I asked about coffee creamer the lady that was working refilled the creamers with about 8 containers of creamer. When asked about a banana, she refilled with 2 bananas. When I asked to get a container of milk it was restocked, however the yogurts were empty and they did not fill those. No scrambled eggs, the pan that had gravy was empty and looked like it had been for a while. There were lots of people in the breakfast area so I think she was just plain overwhelmed. We left for the day and came back about 6:45 in the evening. Our room had not been cleaned and there were no fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner or anything else in the room. I went to the front desk to get towels. I told the desk clerk that no one had cleaned the room. He seemed unconcerned about that. I asked if this hotel had that service (someone to clean the rooms) he said yes, but they have all gone home. I have to say, I was flabbergasted. I paid a good price to stay in this hotel, because I usually have very good luck with the "Holiday Inns", I would most definitely recommend staying somewhere else. I have never had to write such a bad review, I was pretty disgusted with the Holiday Inn in South Lincoln and with this experience I will be much less likely to stay at another Holiday Inn on the rest of our cross country trip.
