This place was every bit as gorgeous and fun as I remembered it to be from my childhood. The cliff faces are STUNNING! The gnomes and fairy tale stuff is cheesy, but I loved it nonetheless.
The best thing is that we were allowed to take our dogs on a stroll through the garden, which was wonderful for them and us. A fantastic and fun experience!
Get there early, and see if you can take the second tour down and not the first. Our group was a little smaller as a result.

Spectacular! If you can swing in here, do so, the bridge is just astonishing. The 2-mile round trip hike is worth it, as are the 137 steps down and back up at the beginning and the end. :-)
This place is just too quirky to be true. Definitely worth the stop. Five tons of crystal from which the artist created this grotto. If you are into religious art, this is a fantastic stop.
While we were there, some young guy decided to go into a corner of the outside garden and relieve himself in front of God and everybody. He then returned to his family which was sitting around a grave as though it was the most normal thing in the world to do this. Perhaps it is and I am the one who doesn't get it. It was pretty gross, though.
My son and I loved it. The giant Athena statue inside is CRAZY cool. It doesn't make sense that this place is in Tennessee, but then, that's what makes it so crazy cool. Wonderful path around the lake outside, and just an all-round nifty place to visit.
Fabulous! This is a drive-in, and the food is delicious. We picked it up to take back to our hotel room and inhaled it. SO good! Try the pulled pork nachos, or jus the sausage on a bun.
Truly lovely old cemetery. Lots of gravestones from the `8th and 19th centuries. They definitely don't bury people with this kind of sentiment any more.
Worth getting off the highway for if you like this kind of thing!
