We were pleasantly surprised by this motel (we feared the worst but had pretty much no other option after a day at the Grand Canyon). Super 8 has evidently renovated their locations lately, and the room was shockingly nice. The decor was great, bed was nice, clean restroom, and a cool concierge area in the check in area. Breakfast is just oatmeal by 9:30am but we didn't mind. Consider this a fine option if you're going through Flagstaff - only complaint is the noise, you can hear neighbors.
The pictures don't do this Inn justice - we stopped here after hiking and had a wonderful stay. Very friendly staff who upgraded our room, very friendly to talk to, and a cozy mountain room. Nothing too fancy but a great stay. Price was a bit high ($220) but that's what you have to pay in Yosemite.
Beautiful park - the Panorama Hike at Glacier Point was amazing.
Fine for a Motel - safe area and a nice room. Could be cleaner but good if you're passing through Monterey.

Worth every second - the drive up is beautiful and the Sherman/Congress Trails are both great for novice hikers. Must see!

You have to see this if you go to Big Sur (which you should) - most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen. Literally a waterfall pouring down from a mountain into a Pacific Coast lagoon!
Cool views but nasty water and a weird crowd... Lots of people drugged out on the rocks when we were there.
Cool beach with great views of some ocean rock and tons of space.
