Stopped by today and even though the hours are listed as open, it was closed. Not sure why.
Took Skyline Drive (not The Skyline Drive) in Reading to get to the Pagoda which is closed having construction work done in front of it including sewer and electrical work. Had a lot of fog so was unable to see any distance but the construction workers let me walk around the building. Worth a drive but maybe wait till work is completed.
I’m from Memphis and this is a hidden gem especially if you like metal art. Go to Fino’s in midtown and get some Italian sandwiches to go and have a picnic on the grounds of the museum which is right on the Mississippi River.
Stayed close to this District and it is very hip and cute. Most of the shops/galleries close by 5 or 6 but the restaurants are hopping. Oso has delicious Mexican food but be aware that everything is very spicy by default. Margs and fish tacos are wonderful.
