I don't normally go to privately owed places, but since I was just leaving El Morro National Monument, just down the street, I stopped in to check it out. Owner was super nice and had good stories, since it's been in her family for generations. Also, how often to you get to hike up to an old volcano and Ice cave, The cave was pretty cool and the walk up to the volcano had nice views along the trail. They also give you a nice brochure, that tells you about everything along the way.

There in early March. Really cool place, to see how many old inscriptions along the Inscription trail. Nice hike then, up to the top. About an hour round trip. Very sure footed trail, just lean forward and get to walking.

Only $5 entry fee. Nice hike along the creek to under the natural bridge. Awesome natural site. Hard to catch all the beauty with just a camera phone. Rocks are slippery under the bridge. Hiked on Feb. 27. Closed soon after as the creek was to high. Check website before going. Well worth it!

Totally Awesome Park! Camping is at Ricardo Campground. Spots backed up to the cliffs. Spent the whole day climbing on, thru and to the top of the cliffs right behind my camping spot. No showers and pit toilets, but so worth the staying at!

Stayed in the Fortress Cliff camping (primitive) area. Only one there in late Feb. Only port-a-potties at this site, Mesquite Camp area just a short walk down the road which has the showers. But I drove (since there is a river crossing) All part of the park.
Really nice park. Definitely going back, to many trails for one day.

Stay there about 20 days a year. We get breakfast coupons for the buffet breakfast, which is really good. Fun place to stay. Cookies and coffee in the afternoon :)

Number 1 is they have the friendliest staff of any place I've ever stayed. Stay there about 30 days a year. Nice outside pool. Good breakfast.

Great place to walk around, cut in steps along some of the paths. Educational and beautiful.

When you first see it in the distance, you'll ask yourself "what is that!" Awesomely surprising site.

Old place but big clean room and comfy bed. Had 2nd room from the road. Bed would shake when big semi's would pass. Shower head maybe 5' high (that's low). "Wi-Fi and breakfast" not strong enough signal to use and hardly anything for breakfast.
