This is a must see. The history here is well told. I'm really glad I stopped.
The crash site is actually off limits to the general public out of respect to the families.
Kind of an odd sculpture. It is not located at the address indicated. It is actually located about a half mile east on HWY 20. not quite what I expected. It is in front of a sort of gift shop. There are other sculptures out front as well.
It's not too far off the main highway so it's not too much of a detour, but i wouldn't drive out of my way to see it.
It's huge as indicated. Unfortunately, its currently under construction or maintenance. Drove by it today, and it was surrounded by a fence. :( We couldn't get good pictures.
