Crepes. Sweet or savory, amazing crepes!! Coffee is delicious too. It's worth walking through the construction happening in downtown Twin Falls to get here. Delicious!

This is a stunning mountain lake with loads of recreational options. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, SUP, picnics, camping can all happen here. The mountains surrounding the lake are huge, and make for a very scenic spot. There is a lodge on the lake you can stay at, and a few campgrounds as well (some you have to get to by ferry). For similar views, and less people, head to Alturus Lake or Pettit Lake just down the road.

If you find yourself in this part of Idaho, maybe making your way from Salt Lake City or Yellowstone to Boise, this is a must-do stop. The water flow does vary throughout the year (spring runoff is the highest), but its still impressive regardless. There is a nice picnic area right at the falls, but I suggest you take the little side road to Dierkes Lake (the fork in the road is just past the ranger station where you pay your $3 entrance fee in the summer). There is a short 1.5 mile hike that goes around Dierkes Lake that is worth your time. You get some great views of the landscape/lake/Snake River during the hike. Our dogs and kids all love it! Throw lunch in your pack, and find a nice vista on the walk to enjoy a picnic before continuing on. Who knew Idaho had scenery this beautiful!

This is definitely worth the detour. Its a cool rock, and even cooler when you learn it was mostly carved by wind activity. A steep short walk from your car will get you to the base of the rock, and only then can you truly appreciate its enormity. Worth the visit!
