Free and fun to see!! It’s also a good photo op. Go!
Semi expensive but not crazy. We found cheap parking 2 blocks from the needle but went earlier in the morning. Awesome view! We even went when it was overcast and very cool.
Cool to see! All we did in Spokane but was neat to walk around where the college was and see the falls. It’s a 15 min ish ride.
We stayed at fort Washington Beach campground. It was $21/night for tent site. No bathrooms but a pond you can float in. Friendly people.
This address took us to a visitors center with nothing around it. Bummer!
Beautiful and well kept camp ground! ($45/night excluding holidays when its $50) During the week we had almost the entire Tent area to ourselves. There is a beach where you can rent paddle boards (about $40/board for an hour) paddle boats, kayaks, etc. you can also get on a boat cruise here where they sell alcohol on the ship. (1.5 hours $59/person). They have free showers and lots to do around. Go to the burger lounge and get a burger and pesto fries!! Soooo good!
This was a strenuous hike but oh soooo worth it. If you’re not in very good shape just take breaks. The view is incredible and unlike any I’ve ever seen. The glaciers are so beautiful and we were able to eat lunch at grinnell glacier right by the waters edge. We did it at 830 in the morning when it was raining. It stopped about an hour in but we didn’t see very many people until we got to the top. We were rerouted due to grizzly activity so it was 13.5 miles but every step was worth it.
Is it on your bucket list? If not add it. DO IT!!!! The most incredible sights you’ll ever see. Fresh air, blue water, your eyeballs will thank you.
The hike is well worth it!! Even if you have to take breaks it’s with it. We saw some 65+ year olds doing it.
Such a great thing to do to see glacier! So much to do and trails hike otherwise several spots to stop and take beautiful pics. Several gift shops/information centers. The fires made it a little foggy but still incredible sights. We did the st Mary’s falls hike. I believe it was 3 miles round trip and so beautiful. After this we headed to many glacier campground and did the grim elk glacier hike!! 13.5 miles but it was longer than normal due to rerouting for grizzly activity. Highly recommend.
