One of the most beautiful parks in Mississippi in my opinion. Giant rocks located along the trails since this is at the foothills of the mountains. Gorgeous hiking trails, you won't get bored! Super nice primitive camping spot near the lake as well.

We went in September, the rainy season. So there was off and on rain all throughout the day. We made it to the island with a light sprinkle and even swam out to the rock, climbed on it and jumped off. It was so much fun! Plus with the light rain, there was a foggy mist rolling around the rock that just made it look even more mysterious than usual. Not many people were out swimming because of the rain. Unfortuantely there are tons of woman vendors set up trying to sell the same ugly touristy shit, but that's anywhere I guess.

Update to my last review- rumor had it previously that this was on private property, well if it is no one cares if you go out there. It's awesome.

Beautifully restored, you're not able to go to the roof unless you're a resident. Also a beautiful wedding location
