We drove around the park and Arch. You just cannot grasp the immense largeness of its size until you are under it. It was spectacular and gleaming. I wish we had more time and money to fully go inside and view it from within. But even still, walking around it is amazing.

It's a limited view from the boardwalk. Simply I didn't see much of it between the steam vents and large crowds on the tiny boardwalk section. We simply didn't have a good time here, nearly got knocked over by kids running, almost knocked one child in because they were not paying attention while running past.

It was still pretty what little we saw. I suggest following a few others and try seeing it from above. You really cannot see it from the boardwalk.

Deliciousness on the Go!

On our stay in St Louis we picked a few choice spots to hit. Blues City Deli was one we wanted to try. As we read over the tasty selections, we decided on the Turkey and the Prez with Rapper chips.

At first it was daunting, there was little parking. It is all side street parking and it was packed. Then the sight of the long line in the hot sun. But we toughed it out and got in line, while hiding under a umbrella here and there as the line moved along rather quickly. I think it was about 10 mins in all honesty to the order counter.

Inside was packed to the rim in memorabilia of old times and new of the city's music and flare. There was sitting inside and out. It all ran quickly and smoothly. I placed our order and went to fill our drinks. By the time I got drinks and chips, my order was up and ready for me to head out.

We got back to our place and dove right in, bread fresh and yummy, meat piled high and tasty, and just the right amount of extras. I wish we had a local deli where we lived like this. I see why they are 5 stars and definitely worth the wait to get. They are 5 stars indeed. Definitely a must go and taste!

Wow! What an introduction to St Louis BBQ.

When we planned this trip, this was one of the places we decided to eat at. We were not disappointed at all. We tried a little of everything; smothered fries, cornbread, pork and tri tip combo, ribs, mashed potatoes, beans, the boss, and the butter cake. We took a lot home with us and everything was amazing. Meat was tender and flavorful without the sauce. Mash was gone in a flash, nothing was dry or disappointing. Highlights were the ribs! Surprise were the smothered fries. Tri tip was melting deliciousness

Service was great as well. Not once did we ever have to ask for refills, or anything really. We were continually asked if we ever needed anything (haha only to go boxes )

Only cons I could see is limited seating and what seating they have is cozy. It is not handicap friendly inside but there is outdoor seating that could be. Parking is almost non existent. And there is no handicap parking near by that I saw. Service animals would be a significant problem as well as there is only room for servers to walk about. I am glad we left ours at home.

Art was great and the music was a nice flare to add to the flavors of food. I will be recommending this place to anyone coming into the St Louis area!

It's a rather long walk, 2.8 miles out to it. There are no drinking water access either so make sure you bring some along. There is an outhouse style restroom at the end as well but no water access.

But the pool is absolutely gorgeous even more so now that Beauty and Chromatic pools have long faded and Grand Prismatic difficult to view. On the way back you can see newly formed pools of beautiful blues that hopefully get added to the route soon. I found it worth the walk out and back.
