Lovely state park with a bunch of little waterfalls and campsites. Stayed OE night is a perfectly secluded campsite with an RV. No hookups but you can dump at their sister site, Pattinson. It’s far away though, so we didn’t do that. With even a single place to fill and dump this would be perfect!

No RVs allowed which is info I didn’t see before I added it to my trip. I’m really bummed that we planned to visit on our cross-country travel and then missed the signs (because it’s sooooo dark) and were awkwardly forced to turn around.

I don’t understand how people who are traveling are supposed to get to the viewing area. It’s a looong ,winding, dark, narrow, woods-lined dirt road. It wouldn’t be safe to walk all that way in the dark. Is that what is expected?

Also, the cutouts are disorienting. We kept thinking we were seeing people.

Ultimately a missed experience but honestly we got an amazing view of the constellations a few miles away anyway.

Kitschy touristy weirdness. There’s a scripted guided tour that points out the various mysterious gravitational phenomenon which conveniently leads back to the gift shop. Thera also a zip line and mini golf. It’s fun and goofy. NOT for those prone to vertigo. I even started to feel a little hot and queasy. A little challenging with a 21-month old as well because balance is hard.

As a side note: we were vaguely outside but in an enclosed space part of the time. There were zero COVID precautions. In fact, the tour was overloaded, we were packed in like sardines and probably half with children who could not have been vaccinated yet due to age.

Overall, I enjoy the mystery and kitsch but I still feel a little off!

What an awesome find. 1/2 mile wandering trail of junk transformed into sculpture. Our 21- month old loved it and so did we. Family and dog friendly. Places to picnic and sit. And totally free! Tom Lakenen = my new favorite artist!

What a darling little animal park! Traveling cross country it made a nice pit stop to bring our little one. Buy a bag of feed or carrots for a few bucks. Our 21-month old loved feeding the animals. Various birds- geese, roosters and peacocks- roam freely which is fun. Goats, kangaroos, bears, deer, owls, horses, rams, pigs, monkeys, a camel and more, oh my! A really well-kept little gem. Thank you, Living Treasures!
