Gorgeous area and a good campground to stay at. It was nice and quiet and clean. The showers are on a time limit but hot and better than none.
Gorgeous area and a nice easy hike. However the gravel sucks to walk on. Still I'd love to go back!
Nice view. Worth the stop. However the trail is not well maintained. Loose earth and a steep incline mean slipping and huffing and puffing. Thankfully it's a short trail.
Really nice area for a break in travel. You can take the short walk down the path along the river and see the falls and base jumpers. Then it's also right in town and you can grab a meal or anything you might need for the journey. Not really a destination in and of itself though.
Really pretty area with nice hiking trails. However in late may it was very noisy from other visitors and it was already so close to the freeway.
Staff was very friendly. Tent area was flat and grass with water and a fire pit. Nice and quiet. Lake was more of a pond though.
Hitchcock nature center is a must stop if you're in the area. The park is easy to find with good signs. There is rv camping and tent camp available. The prices are very inexpensive and a day pass is only two dollars if you just want to stop by and have a picnic. The area is gorgeous and there are lots of hiking trails. The trails are well marked. There is a map at the trailhead and markers at each trail intersection that show the distance and difficulty of that stretch of trail as well as the direction of important areas like the lodge and campground. The trails are wide and well maintained. There is even a short wheelchair accessible trail. I went when it wasn't busy but the WiFi was surprisingly very good. I was able to stream a show on my tablet. The only minus to my stay was that the showers were not the cleanest, but they were hot!
It's neat to see and easy to get to. Worth seeing because it's the only thing around worth stopping for, but it is kinda overrated. I took pics and left.
Nice for a short day outing. Lots of different plants and well kept. Dog's are allowed on leash.
It's a beautiful park and large. It's just very busy. Parking can be hard.
