Such a fun restaurant full of bad taxidermy And good stories. If you come here for the food you are missing the point - especially since the menu has a middle flap featuring Roadkill. That said who can say no to Alligator bites and frogs legs! Well worth the trip and after lunch you can rent a canoe and go down the river.
A surprisingly fully featured Boutique hotel. With an on-site coffee shop, restaurant and a great bar and clean modern design - I'd say it is the best hotel in Cincy. We make sure everyone who comes into town gets a room here and every one of them rave about it.
My local pub and favorite drinking spot in Cincinnati (and a great carryout when we are out of wine). Both bartenders and owners a friendly. Order a meat and cheese plate and whatever they have as the current Sparkling Rosé - it will be delicious. Be sure to take a good look at the 3D mural!
Rooster Rock state park is a great picnic location situated along the Columbia river with grass space for games. There are a few great hikes that originate from the parking lot and boat ramps if you prefer the water with some great fishing out of calm little inlets. The rock itself is a beautifully offset landmark as you head into the Gorge and often is being circled by bald eagles as you drive down the 84. A beautiful spot for a quick stop or for a day.
A nice courtyard and well priced for the area. Rooms are big and bathrooms are small. Otherwise its a relatively standard hotel room. The Deli attached acts as a restaurant and makes a great breakfast.
An romantic getaway where bathrobes are the mainstay. We loved the view, the spa and enjoyed a few days in early 20th century luxury. Plan to spend for the experience... but what are getaways for if not to indulge a little!
A nice quiet bar/restaurant for a drink. A 'craft' drink menu and nibbles. Try the sweet potato fries.
The sheer epicness of the property is worth the 5 star rating. The building and grounds are stunning. The Dining hall, entryway greenhouse and library are highlights, as is the underground pool. The price is a hefty $50 per adult and you can tell this is a well oiled money machine but if you find a discount coupon - the visit is a no brainer.
Had the Fried Mac & Cheese Burger - yes its as good as it sounds. Followed up with some amazing Cider. Add the fantastic Local vibe from the bartender and her friends and I'd say the place was a huge win.
A great cup of Joe and if tasted alongside the lemon pound cake you'll start the day of right!
