Well worth the stop! Amazing. Just loved the view and the canyon. Impressive and worth spending at least an hour. It is a short sandy walk down to the viewpoint. Bring water if it is hot out.

A relatively short walk down a slope, paved trail. You can see it from a distance, and with a good lens get some closer photos. Might be worth the stop but if you have seen mesa verde already you have been wowed.

Got here after closing, an hour before dusk. You could still get a nice good view of the civilization if you were interested in seeing and taking a photo and not taking a tour into the building. On the way out saw a couple wild horses (stallion, mare and foal). Quite a sight. Nice place for a sunset photo too.

A beautiful view and short walk. Easy to get to and trail is being remade to make it even easier. Nice photo opportunity to get right under the arch.

Lovely view and easy walk. Not lots of people here so it was great to just enjoy the landscape without the crowds.

Went here last night after dark and did not realize how long of a hike it was. Took about an hour at a brisk walk. Made it to the first waterfall (I think) and the water was warmish. It was very dark out and we were not sure how much further it was to walk so we called it a night and headed back to the van to sleep. Plan to walk at least an hour and bring water with you for the walk. Up and down sections, not too steep and easy enough to walk in sandals/crocs, just be prepared for the hike if you go around dusk. Lots of people walking the trail at midnight though and the parking lot was packed until 4am when people started leaving. You can also camp along the trail as we saw some hikers/backpackers doing with tents or just sleeping bags. Worth the visit but should have come during the day to really see the beauty.
