During the summer months, you might have better luck buying an entrance ticket online than at the gate. While on a road trip, we tried to stop here and found they were at capacity and would only allow ticket holders into the park. It looked beautiful though from the road.

Great trail. There is a bit of climbing. Watch small children. The ladder is not bad going up, but you have to watch your step as you start down. Beware of snakes. We came across two snakes making their way across the path.

Well worth the drive! We have been to the Badlands three times now and I still stop to take tons pictures. Make sure to try a few of the trails. We have seen lots of buffalo, big horn sheep, mountain goats and prairie dogs. We even saw a coyote who paid a visit to the prairie dog town, yikes. Stop by Cedar Pass Lodge for lunch. Rangers were very nice and helpful. The visitors center has a lab in the back where you can watch them cleaning fossils that have been found in the Badlands. They have great Ranger lead programs too.

A beautiful park. The lake had been drained for levy repair. We were just passing through so we did not have time to check everything out that the offered. Staff were nice. Sites were level concrete pads with full hookups. I would love to try it again after the lake is full again so there is more to do within the park.

It is a nice campground especially if you are just passing through. Staff were very nice and helpful. WiFi was ok. Bathrooms were clean. They have fresh baked pizza that you can order and they will deliver it to your campsite. Sites were a little closer than I like and it looked like our neighbors were there long term. Gravel sites need minimal leveling. There was some noise from trains and planes that are passing close by. I would stay there if I was passing through again.

A wonderful drive through the country. The first time we drove through the buffalo herd was moving across the road so we were able to see them up close. The visitors center was very nice and the kids enjoyed the interactive displays. They also try to keep up with where the herd is in real time and can give you an idea of where to go. $20 for a park pass which is good for seven consecutive days I believe (July 2018). Worth the time to go and see everything.

A very beautiful stop! We drove through here twice while in the area. Both times there was a wedding going on so it was extra crowded and we decided not stay. I would imagine it is a great place to spend the day.

Beautiful drive! Well worth the time. Be mindful of vehicle height/width restrictions, they are not a suggestion. We passed a motor home that was stranded with no where to turn around and talked to a guy in a dually that decided that he didn’t want to chance getting his truck scratched going through the tunnels. Lots of wildlife in the area. We enjoyed this scenic drive so much that we drove it again before we left the area.

This was a very beautiful drive. We stopped at most of the different sites, but did not have time to explore too far from the road. I would like to go back and walk more of the trails.
