Agreed - even when you are standing there you think you're looking at a post card. Didn't spend nearly enough time here. Did the rim drive and pullouts. Shame on me.

I saw this on a trip last year. We couldn't quite figure out what it was. There is no signage, no explanation and people crawling all over it. Not worth a special trip. If you're in the area then stroll down to check it out after you've stopped into the Peeps Store ;)

Heaven on Earth! Too many great things to say about this place. Hands down best national park in the lower 48. Downtown Springdale, UT has great little restaurants/bars and stores to get all your camping/tubing/river exploring needs taken care of are all nearby. Check in with ranger station to check weather before going out to explore Zion. Don't want to be anywhere miles out and have a thunderstorm come rolling through followed by flash flooding especially the river. Thunderstorms there are like none I had ever seen before. You have to do the Virgin River hike. Get the river boots, walking sticks and figure out a way to keep your camera waterproofed (be creative). My teenage daughter thought I was nuts the first time we set out to do this hike - moaned and groaned all the way down to the river. That stopped about 30 minutes into the hike. Now it's a disappointment if we don't go to Zion yearly and do the hike and lay on the ground for hours star gazing (they look like you could reach out and grab them). Stay hydrated! Best picture I have is of my daughter waist deep in water, dirty, sweaty and exhausted surrounded by the sheer beauty of the canyon/river. It's the smile on her face and the thumbs up that speak volumes. Best hike we have done. Each time we've done it it's been just as exciting as the first time and we see something different each time. I would live there if given the opportunity.

Fantastic park. Not like any other. Have your camera ready with a fully charged battery and empty SD card. Steaming (literally) with wildlife at every turn. Keep your distance! An all time favorite picture I have is a bison grazing near the boardwalk to the mud pools. He stopped all of us dead in our tracks. Great background for the picture of such a majestic animal. Have to spend a fee days. Must make reservations. Don't be put off by the sulfur smell. Piggyback this park with Grand Teton.

This is a bucket list National Park. If you haven't been, add it to your list. Gorgeous. A week isn't enough time to see all there is to see and do all there is to do. Drive the Going to the Sun Road. It will have its white knuckle moments but the views are absolutely worth it! Remember this park crosses over to our neighbor to the north (Canada). Be sure to check that side out too. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful! Lots of wildlife - remember, respect and distance. A side trip to Jackson Hole, WY highly recommended. Do this park in conjunction with Yellowstone. They sit back to back. Make time - don't drive in and out. Stop and stay awhile.

Another of the greatest National Parks. Such beauty. Trailheads for hikers of all abilities. Some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Sunsets and sunrises are brilliant against the reds/oranges of the canyon arches.

You have no idea the size of the Grand Canyon until you see it firsthand. Don't just drive it and pull in and out of the viewing areas. Get out of your car. Sit. Breathe. Hike. Ride a mule. Take the train. Have dinner at the North Rim, yes I said North. It's fantastic. Catch a sunrise and a sunset. Stay in the canyon housing better yet camp. Respect the non human canyon residents. Take advantage of our National Park system. Reservations for all things in the canyon are necessary. Make them early. Been there several times. See something different each time. North Rim is completely different than the South - it's not as touristy but I have to admit its signage is bad. Signs are eroding, worn out or non-existent.

This was a stop over on a road trip a few years back. Was interesting to see. My daughter got out prior to the 1 hour being up. She said she felt weird with people snorkeling under her. They weren't strict with time. You do need reservations, you have to wear a flotation device supplied by staff at the Crater and there are changing areas and cubbies/lockers to store your personal belongings. Great little Italian/pizza place down the road ... name of the place escapes me.
