Very clean, HUGE spots, would definitely stay here again, almost booked a third night but we had to get going on our adventure.
Nice areas for pull through with back to back spots so no ones septic is right beside the other persons picnic table like in so many other campgrounds 𤢠these spots are also perfect for group rving so you can face your camping buddyâs and have a community out door spot. Pet suite site with privacy fence, fenced in dog run and covered patio. đ
Cabins available with porch swings đĽ°
Last minute booking and was totally shocked by its charm! Awesome directly fed hot springs pools (two pools to relax in one cooler than the other) area at the end to view the hot springs formation that feeds the pools, the kids had a BALL and didnât want to leave!
Our host that night Carl was super awesome snd help us plan our next days adventure into the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
The cannon drive into Thermopolis rivals Yellowstone views! Seriously!
Loved our stay and our kids wanted to cancel the rest of our trip just to stay longer â¤ď¸
Made this reservation as a stopping point on a cross country trip and was surprised by all the history that is recorded at this State Park.
We had visited Crazy Horse monument and did. It know that Crazy Horse died at this Fort!!! So it wasnât just a campground stopping point, it ended up as an educational moment! Beautiful location, the State Park has many activities and could have easily stayed there a few days for the hubs to explore all the history amd to take horse back rides into the local trail woth the family, but that will have to be another vacation trip. Super easy for one night stays and big RVs. 40+ with our camper and truck.
Amazing history that we never knew about, things you donât learn in public school history, and we were glad to teach our children on this visit!
Thank you for this learning experience and canât wait to come back with grandchildren to see the progress!
Excellent KOA, we didnât spend too much time on site because weâre were go go going to Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but laundry facilities and showers were amazing, sites were clean and our site had awesome mini fences up around the septic hook up which is so appreciated!!!! I feel like all campgrounds should have that small privacy fence, because nothing feels worse than being at a site where your septic port is right beside your neighborâs picnic table and they are eating breakfast as you are emptying and rolling out đ
Tank you Spearfish KOA for having that mini privacy fence!!!
Soooo many amenities wish I had booked more than one nights stay, but we were driving cross country so just had the one night. Would definitely stop in again.
Awesome pool, mini golf, mineral panning area, balloon bounce trampoline, bikes to rent, great sites.
So cheesy, but so worth it to stimulate the local economy LOL
My husband and I were born and raised in Michigan and had never been, so driving through we made a planned stop to take our three kids who LOVE Gravity Falls and this was the closest thing I could think of to the show. Was not disappointed expecting a âGravity falls like experienceâ đ I think they actually could use more âattractionsâ that defy gravity and the mind đ
Kids got a kick out of it and we helped the local economy, it was a win win.
Portable toilets, but lots of parking and picnic areas.
