This campground is very close to a main road with lots of traffic and street noise(police, ambulances, cars/motorcycles playing loud music). The water went out several times over the 5 days we spent here. The wifi was spotty but we didn't use it much for that reason. We were charged $2/child/day for our 3 kids which I thought was an unusual fee to impose on families. I wouldn't stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. They nickel and dime for every little thing and the sites are pricey to begin with.

We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas. We hiked several trails, visited the old mining museum and community in Blue Heron, recommend the Dairy Bar for ice cream sundaes. We didn’t do any swimming or water activities but we saw several others that did. The sites were clean and well kept. Quiet and easy to get around.

We stayed over a weekend with our young boys in our camper which is 29’. They fished and swam in the lake. There was a circle of rocks that served as a fire ring and a small grill. We didn’t use the bath house. We hiked the small trail on-site and the nearby trails at Burgess Falls. We did some geocaching and visited the playground on-site. I would recommend reserving the sites along the lake. There are 3 for campers, 90-92, which have gorgeous views, privacy but little shade. The rest are for tents unless you want to stay in a cluster of trailer sites near the entrance. Not for me.

Super nice and friendly staff. Convenient store with lots to choose from. Full hook up at all sites. They have cabins. Paid $44 for the overnight stay. Lots of WiFi to choose from with passwords. I would recommend it for an overnight stay. Not much to do in the area. No playgrounds or paved road for bikes. All gravel roads. It had everything we needed.
Super friendly staff, clean sites, playground and more. We didn’t use much of their amenities b/c we can in early March. We just stopped for a couple of nights to see Frontier Culture museum and Montecello. We grilled out on the fire ring for dinner and had lunch on the picnic tables provided beside each site. We used a pull through at the bottom (#8) b/c they said the top ones require assistance to enter b/c of the trees. We had originally reserved #62 online but we were arriving at 4:45/5pm which was near closing time. I would recommend them.
I loved this little park we stopped at on our drive to VA. The kids LOVED the park with duck island trail, the treehouse, playground and Narnia trail. We would recommend it to families.
This was a fun stop on our road trip across VA. It is big, made of metal and the town super cute to see and visit. We just stopped on our drive thru.
No RV parking. There are two small lots and a fee of $3 to enter but they have restrooms and the trail is kept up nicely with signs and steps. The lowers falls are just 500 feet from the car lot and the upper falls is about 1.7 miles from the lower falls.
This was our first KOA experience camping and it was in March so off season. It was great with pull through space, full hook up and friendly service. We just stayed for the night to see Natural Bridge State Park and then continue on but I would recommend it and stay again.
