The food was "meh", but the service was horrid. Took forever for a server, and only after I finally went up to them and asked if I was supposed to place my order up at the wait stand. Had to ask for silverware and glasses to go along with the disgusting bottle of table water. The server changed midway through meal and I couldn't understand what he said, he mumbled so badly. Finally had to ask for the check and get out.
Yuck. Dirty with mold on bathroom ceiling and shower tiles, carpet gross, wrapper under bed. Bugs all over pool area. Just not good.
The hotel and rooms were very nice for the price. The pool was nice and the hotel was clean. The staff, however, could use some training on friendliness. And housekeeping could use a refresher on their role, too. But, the free parking, bfast, and wifi helped offset that.
Stopped for a quick bit before leaving St. Louis. My kids liked being able to watch the guy pull the dough and shape it into the donuts right there. There wasn't a big or fancy selection, but the freshness was amazing!! The cinnamon buns and twists were awesome!! Friendly staff and yummy donuts....
Aka "St. Louis City Central Hotel". Was very nice. We could see the fire works at Busch Stadium on the Fourth of July from the pool. Parking was a little steep. $23 for valet, $17 for self parking. Loved the executive lounge availability though. We'll be back for sure!
