It’s quite a hike to the swimming beach but pretty walk. The sand is super nice like sugar sand. I think due to the water being higher we didn’t see much Dunes. There is a dog beach but a mile walk or so from the main beach. Great swimming though but little kids should have life jackets on. Strong waves.
If you have to pick one lighthouse in Door County this is the one. The view from top is fantastic! All the people working there were super nice. FYI dogs can’t go in the lighthouse for obvious reasons but can on the little tractor wagon ride across.
Beautiful really big park. Really easy to get to all the dells attractions from here as well. Only about 15-20 mins. Busy place but the sites are nice and large. The bathroom we were by could use an update but we just drove to the newer one and it had nice showers. We are kind of spoiled by South Dakota park bathrooms but these all worked fine. Would definitely camp here again! The water was very nice to swim in and not too cold.
