Couldnt get very close, and although it was nice to look at seeing the windows arches was much more rewarding due to accessibility.

Absolutely Amazing! The things people have written are true, and the word epic is appropriate here, not for sandwiches and youtube videos. My wife and I wanted to do a couple hikes a day, with driving in between as neither of us are professional canyoneers! If youre like us, I recommend the scenic drive, stopping at every viewpoint, hiking the shorter trails to things like the balancing rock (0.3 miles but worth every second), the windows/turret arch (0.3 miles but probably the best short hike) and the skyline arch (0.4 miles but also simply stunning). There used to be an enormous boulder in this arch but it collapsed in 1976 and you can see the rockfall if you hike this flat and easy trail. Sand Dune Arch is supposed to be the easiest at 0.3 miles, and is great for kids but we skipped that one. We did all this in about 6 to 7 hours, but I know there's a lot of harder more rewarding trails and arches.

This was one of the easiest hikes on the 18 mile scenic drive, and well worth it! Couldn't wait to get to Arches National Park and see all the arches, and if youre not willing to do a 7 mile hike in Devil's Garden, this is for you. You won't be alone at all because there are tour buses and fellow hikers, climbers, etc visiting too; but there are moments when it will be just you and a handful of others, and the calm is priceless.
