My favorite venue behind Red Rocks. It's so serene and the sound is great. Saw Imogene Heap and Mumford & Sons here UH-MAZING. Oh and the Gypsy Kings for my weird Dad.. but even that was cool because of the overall atmosphere. Parking's a trip... May the force be with you.

SOOOO.. this is my freakin jam. If I didn't live 45 minutes away, I would come here once a week. But I do bring pretty much all of my visiting guests here. The view of LA is my favorite from here, especially at sundown. The shows in the planetarium are the main reason I enjoy this place; something reminiscing of childhood field trips about them. But the overall education you get is so fun and hands-on, it will be exciting and appealing to any age range. Nighttime telescope viewing: They are very strict about the time. We waiting in line for 45 minutes the first time, and we were finally just the 4th people in line, but at 9:30 sharp he closed the doors and we didn't get to look. We came back with a vengeance and finally made it, it was pretty damn cool. Though I was hoping to see a bigger view of Venus than I had imagined it would produce, still got to see it through the Griffith Observatory.

The Chinese Theater is cool for 3 minutes as you're walking around trying to fit your hands over your fav celebs, picturing the 3,522 other people that put their hands there in the last several hours. BUT overall, overrated, super run-down.. just filled with dirty cheap costumed actors trying to make a buck (not knockin, just talkin). You find yourself walking 2 blocks before you find a star with someone you actually know or at least care to take a picture.. and then you take a picture. Yay.. you made it. Anyway, I did a TMZ tour (for a friend) and a block into a side street off the walk of fame.. there was a shooting. Which by the way.. the driver kept driving towards the active shooter when we all yelled for him to stop and go back.. it was traumatizing for 24 hours. But.. beats to the point; super run-down and not glamorous at all.

I meaannnnn it's freakin Disneyland. A) If you're celebrating a special event, especially a kid's birthday, then you absolutely have to stop at the City Hall right at the entrance to your left.. and you get a free birthday pin. Everytime a Disney staff, cast member, or princess walk by you they will wish you a happy birthday :) Plus you get a call from Mickey wishing you a happy birthday. Kids eat that shit up. Have fun!
Oh and B) Bring your life savings. Duh.. $$$$

Yes, it's an icon, but quite frankly, super run-down and overrated. Opt to drive along Palisades Beach Rd right there in Santa Monica to see the houses ranging over $16 MILLION dolla dolla bills yo. I mean.. it's more exhilarating than the drug deals, chipped paint, and broke-down rides. In my opinion.

There are always cops patrolling the residential street that is directly in front of the sign, shooing you away because people stop to take pictures.. you just gravitate to do so like a fly to a flytrap. But if you turn on any of the side streets that lead uphill from that main street, you can see some great views of it up close. But the most bizarre and coolest thing I have ever done here in LA (I live here) is a freaking horse back ride on a family owned ranch that's right on this mountain beside the sign (who knew there were horses in the city?) I highly recommend it. The girls working are so so so friendly, and the views of LA are great.
