Miss Mary's is, honest-to-god, *the best and friendliest* small-town/old-timey diner I've ever been to. The food is fantastic, the employees and locals are incredibly warm and welcoming.

Closed :-( Panozzo's was the best!

Dell Rhea's is THE BEST! Worth the drive from Chicago — awesome chicken, biscuits, wings… super old-timey. One of my absolute favorite places near Chicago.
