Went with friends from Layton UT on a hot but windy day (kept the brine flies away). Fun to wade in and float in the salt water with lots of little brine shrimp! Nice and cool. Don’t splash, it burns the eyes ;) Outdoor free shower to rinse off or can pay to rinse in one of 6 private showers (coin operated). We used those private stalls to change. Drive around to look at different views and trying to find the 300 bison. Saw one. Still very cool!! Don’t drive in with windows down... it STINKS!!
Super cute place to stay! Family run. Rented two cabins for family of five. Two queens in each with separate sitting area. Nice porch... one had a view of the little creek behind the property. Small pool in middle of parking lot. Nice breakfast area. Great stopping point for us after Yellowstone and Grand Tetons before heading to Utah. Grocery store across the street with excellent deli choices for quick dinner.
This is a must-stay!! Family of five stayed in Lower Lakefront room. Sleeper sofa (with air mattress, which was way more comfortable than typical sleeper sofa mattress) in little living area, small kitchen, nice bathroom and separate bedroom with two queens. The VIEW of the lake and mountains is stunning! Wish we had stayed longer. Nice restaurants on site. We rented a runabout boat for an hour (step up from fishing boat... has steering wheel for the outboard motor). Bring bug spray!!
Great spot for families/larger groups. We had family of five stay comfortably with 3 rooms with 3 queens and comfy couch in living room. Lots of restaurants to walk to and quick drive to entrance of Yellowstone. You are smack-dab in the town... expect some noise, but cute decor and little hidden porch/swing make up for it! Bring disposable plates/silverware. Not a lot in the kitchen.
Great hotel for families... we stayed in one of their family suites which has queen bed in one room and attached second bedroom with queen bed and bunk beds. Perfect! Helpful front desk with good recommendations for dinner. Cookies in the evening. Great breakfast. Stayed here on way from Colorado to Bozeman.
