This park is well worth the effort to go! The visitor center was really cool but the best part of our stay was the hiking and our beautiful campsite in the family campground. The hiking trails right off the campground were kid friendly with educational signage and outdoor activities along the trail. We hiked the Upper Falls loop and enjoyed this as much of not more then hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Our family LOVED this park! We hiked trail #3–it’s absolutely beautiful. Waterproof shoes would have been helpful but not absolutely necessary.
We were surprised to see that the park has a very nice lap pool and splash pad area. We didn’t have time to check it out but it looked really nice.
This is an awesome family campground! Everyone was friendly and helpful. A fun atmosphere for kids and adults with lots of activities and a nice pool. The campground is adjacent to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park with access to hiking and an easy drive to Gatlinburg/Sugarlands Visitor Center.
