Great night spent on the bay. Campground is spread out but not in an inconvenient way. Offers several different kinds of campsites at different price ranges.
I had an excellent camping experience at Colonial Creek. There was plenty of hiking within walking distance of my campsite, and I was able to get a spot right on the water.
Breathtakingly blue water! If you plan on camping in the Cascades, I recommend Colonial Creek Campground, which is just off the North Cascades Highway, and sits on the lake.
A beautiful drive through northern Washington! Highly recommend the entire Cascade Loop.
I camped here for a night on a recent road trip. Lake Chelan is gorgeous. The campsite is located right on the lake and was very clean. The rangers were very accommodating. The town of Chelan is just a few miles south and had plenty to offer.
